The KeyMac Club is an official Macintosh User's Group supporting Mac users in the upstate area of South Carolina. KeyMac is a group of Macintosh computer users, both men and women, organized to help each other more fully explore and enjoy their computers. A wide variety of programs, applications, and topics of interest to all levels of expertise, from novice to the more experienced user, are demonstrated and discussed at the meetings. Periodically, additional training sessions are scheduled on specific aspects of the computer.
Guests are welcome to attend and a one year membership in the user's group is only $20 initiation fee + $15. Returning members dues are $15 per year.
Apple Q & A, June 6 2014 - The meeting for June 6 has been cancelled due to travel plans of the presenter.
General Meeting, June 20 2014 - Assuming Apple provides their WWDC Keynote as a downloadable video file, we'll show this in our meeting. This always leaves us a bit up in the air since we can't know in advance what Apple will do.
Apple Q & A, First Tuesday Each Month except July and December -Open questions forum on all Apple products such as Macs, iPhones, iPads, iPods, etc. Bring your problems and questions and we'll work through them together. Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb looks on our faces when we can't answer them.
General Meeting, Third Tuesday Each Month except July (when we break for the summer) and December (when we hold a Christmas party instead of a general meeting). -- The KeyMac Club presents a program covering a topic of general interest to our Mac users. Topics vary in content and level to try and reach as many members as possible.
KeyMac normally meets at the Keowee Key Activity Center in Salem, South Carolina. The Activity Center is adjacent to the Keowee Key Country Club at 1 Country Club Drive, however the Activity Center was damaged in the big power loss of January 2014. Until the Activity Center is repaired, the KeyMac Club will be meeting in the Keowee Key Club building, usually in the Palmetto room.
(Although Keowee Key is a gated community, KeyMac Club attendees are admitted as visitors.)
The Mac OS X Discussion Group meeting is the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. (again, no meetings July and December).
The General User's Group meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. (again, no meetings July and December).
